Dubai is Launching its Robocop Officer for Patrolling The Streets

Globaltechzz Recently this week, the officials of Dubai announced the launch of new patrolling cars. These mini petrol rover and cars have been paired with drones and face recognization technology to catch and watch the suspects.

But these cars do not run so fast and possibly cannot go everywhere but as they have an extra flying eye, they don't need it. The assembled drone can cover a reasonable space. Also, it is able to monitor the area on large scale.

These cars have machine algorithm so they can work on their own. But they are also made to control by human hands. Police can easily control them. Also, these are designed to take the commands of police.

The manufacturer, Singapore-based Otsaw Digital claimed that this rover-drone pair is first of its kind, means this kind of rover has not built yet.

This rover has the ability to read the license plate also, it can use thermal imaging technology to see in the dark.

The police force and manufacturer said that it is will not replace the officers in Dubai but it will strengthen the police force of Dubai. Its ability will be useful for improvement of Dubai police. Otsaw also claimed it can petrol for 24X7 and recharge on their own.

"We seek to augment operations with the help of technology such as robots," Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the head of the Dubai police, said in a statement. Also said,"Essentially, we aim for streets to be safe and peaceful without heavy police patrol."

As this is for Dubai so this RoboCop can speak two languages but with further manufacture, it will able to speak four.

It will occupy the Dubai streets by the year's end but Dubai has some greater plans. In few years this country will launch foot-tall rovers which can control by the human from inside the body.

By 2030, Dubai plans for robots to make up 25 percent of its police force.
